England: Coast to Coast for Mental Health

As a clinical social worker both in private practice and in Spotsylvania County Public Schools, I've seen an increase in mental health needs and the difficulties that families have in accessing services.  Lack of resources impacts the mental health of not only the patient but of their families and the professionals that care for them. 
 

Time in nature in a wonderful way to rejuvenate.  I will be walking 200 miles across England over 14 days beginning at the end of May.  I want to use my trip to provide an opportunity for you to join me in supporting those who cannot take this walk themselves.  
100% of your donations will go directly to Mental Health America - Fredericksburg (MHA).  MHAs goal is to prevent suicide by addressing underlying mental health needs and offering a variety of support services.  These include:

* a senior visitation program 
* suicide prevention outreach to schools and community

* peer support groups
* an online database for finding mental health providers

Walking together, we can make strides toward better mental health for ourselves and others in our community.
