Rain

I discovered on this journey that I had fallen into the habit of being a fair-weather hiker. If it would rain, I would stay home. I truly missed out on many incredible moments. On this hike, this was not an option. I learned to enjoy the patter of rain, the swish of my rain pants, the power of the wind and the beauty of the clouds. I always had my raincoat and a hot thermos of tea with me and that allowed me to set out no matter the forecast. Thank you “L” for helping me to be flexible. If anyone is so inclined, and I hope you are, give me a call on the next rainy day and let’s find a mountain to conquer.
