Reaching

I cannot believe that after 13 days and over 200 miles, my walking has come to an end. I have so much to say but I am going to write more tomorrow as I am tired from the last days of pushing. Each day this week was close to or over 20 miles by the time I reached my bed. It was clear from the start that the way to reach the goal of a journey’ this size. was to focus on reaching daily goals. Suddenly I found myself on my last day with about 19 miles to go. There came a point today when I had less than 3 miles that I wanted things to slow down. I wanted to delay ending something that has been hard, rewarding and powerful all at the same time. This trail was a reach for me and it took preparation, endurance and lots of flexibility. Through it I have become a person who is stronger in so many ways. I encourage you to reach for things that you doubt you can accomplish. Even doubt leaves room for hope to take route and grow.
